Laura Pahules: Arizona’s First L’Oréal Paris Woman of Worth – A Year of Impact and Inspiration
A Milestone in Domestic Violence Advocacy: Laura Pahules Named a 2024 L’Oréal Paris Woman of Worth
One year ago, Control Alt Delete’s founder, Laura Pahules, made history as the first L’Oréal Paris Woman of Worth from Arizona. This prestigious national recognition honored Laura’s unwavering dedication to helping Survivors of domestic violence escape abuse and rebuild their lives. The award journey was filled with unforgettable milestones and life-changing opportunities that brought attention to the mission of Control Alt Delete on a national stage.
The Journey Begins: Educational Summit in New York City
In the fall of 2024, Laura joined nine other inspiring honorees for an educational summit in New York City, where the L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth class came together to share their stories, learn from one another, and begin a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The summit highlighted the incredible work being done by women across the country to uplift their communities and create lasting change.
Hometown Spotlight: HBO Max Video Shoot in Arizona
Soon after the summit, HBO Max traveled to Arizona to film a powerful hometown spotlight on Laura and Control Alt Delete. The video shared the emotional journey behind the organization’s founding and gave a voice to the countless Survivors of domestic violence who have found safety, hope, and support through Control Alt Delete. It was an opportunity to show the world what real impact looks like—right here in Arizona.
The Red Carpet Moment: Star-Studded Gala in Los Angeles
In November 2024, the experience culminated in a red-carpet gala in Los Angeles, where Laura and her fellow honorees were celebrated at a dazzling, star-studded event attended by Hollywood’s most generous and compassionate changemakers. While the spotlight was bright, the true focus of the evening was on the powerful community work being led by each of the ten honorees. More Than an Award: A Lifelong Sisterhood
While the recognition and media attention were unforgettable, one of the greatest gifts of the entire L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth experience has been the deep friendships formed among the honorees. These women—activists, nonprofit founders, caregivers, and leaders—have become dear friends, forming a lifelong sisterhood rooted in compassion, service, and solidarity.
Honoring Survivors, Elevating Voices
This honor wasn’t just a celebration of Laura—it was a celebration of every Survivor Control Alt Delete has helped escape abuse, and every supporter who has made that possible. The L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth award is more than a title—it’s a reminder that every Survivor is worthy of safety, freedom, and dignity, and that one woman’s voice can ignite change for thousands.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude
As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with pride, gratitude, and renewed determination. Control Alt Delete will continue to fight for Survivors of domestic violence—in Arizona and beyond—because every life is worth saving, and every voice deserves to be heard.
