Laura Pahules Honored with HerStory Award by Women’s Federation for World Peace
We are proud to share that our founder and president, Laura Pahules, has been recognized with the prestigious HerStory Award by the Women’s Federation for World Peace USA (WFWP). This national honor is given to women who exemplify courage, compassion, and a commitment to building a more peaceful world through service and leadership.
Laura’s journey—from Survivor to changemaker—has been the driving force behind Control Alt Delete, the nonprofit she founded in 2019 to offer immediate, one-time assistance to individuals escaping domestic violence. Her hands-on leadership and deep empathy have guided the organization to facilitate tens of thousands of safe escapes, supporting Survivors, their children and pets during some of the most dangerous and vulnerable moments in their lives.
The HerStory Award celebrates women who lead with heart and purpose, and Laura embodies these values fully. Her work not only impacts Arizona families daily but also inspires a broader cultural shift—toward believing Survivors, removing barriers to safety, and restoring dignity and hope.
During the award ceremony, WFWP recognized Laura’s unwavering service and the transformational power of her mission. As Laura said in her remarks: “This award isn’t just for me—it’s for every Survivor who found the courage to leave, for every advocate who stands in the gap, and for every person who believes we all deserve safety.”
Please join us in congratulating Laura on this well-deserved honor. We are grateful every day for her leadership, compassion, and relentless drive to create a safer future for all.
