Lerner & Rowe Gives Back 2026 Grant: Investing in Life-Saving Escapes from Domestic Violence

We are incredibly grateful to Lerner & Rowe Gives Back for awarding Control Alt Delete a 2026 grant dedicated specifically to helping Survivors facing High Lethality Risk domestic violence situations.
This grant will literally save lives.
When Every Minute Matters
Not every domestic violence situation carries the same level of danger. Some Survivors are at an extremely high risk of being seriously injured or murdered if they attempt to leave. These are known as High Lethality Risk cases.
Research consistently shows that the danger often increases when an abuser realizes they are losing control. The period surrounding an escape is frequently the most dangerous time in a Survivor’s journey.
These are the referrals that keep us awake at night.
These are the calls where waiting until tomorrow simply isn’t an option.
Removing the Barriers to Safety
Control Alt Delete exists for one purpose:
To remove the barriers that keep people trapped in domestic violence.
For Survivors facing High Lethality Risk, those barriers can include:
- Emergency transportation to a safe location
- Fuel to travel hundreds of miles to safety
- Hotel stays when shelters are unavailable or unsafe
- Security measures to help protect a family after escaping
- Essential items needed to begin again
- Other immediate emergency assistance that makes an escape possible
When these barriers are removed quickly, Survivors have the opportunity to leave before the violence escalates.
A Community That Saves Lives
As a 100% volunteer-run organization, every grant allows us to respond immediately when referrals arrive from law enforcement, Family Advocacy Centers, prosecutor offices, victim advocates, and other trusted partners throughout Arizona.
